Strawberry Mint Water Cocktail With Dopper

IMG_1423.jpg

I drink a LOT of water, but you'll never find me drinking out of a single-use plastic water bottle. Not only do I not want to waste my money on single-use bottles, but they're terrible for environment, and a reusable water bottle is definitely the way to go. Right now, I'm loving Dopper!

I recently partnered with the Dutch water bottle company Dopper to come up with a delicious water cocktail you can use in their reusable bottle. The Dopper Original bottle holds 15.2 oz. of liquid, but the best part is, the bottle doubles as a cup, as the top half of the bottle twists off to make a cup with a strong stem. I like to bring mine with me when I picnic or go to an outdoor concert.

Dopper not only wants to help combat single use plastic waste, but the company also takes great strides to increase access to safe drinking water around the world. Five percent of Dopper's sales go directly to the Dopper Foundation, which supports the provision of drinking water and improved sanitation and hygiene through the charitable organization Simavi in Nepal. The foundation also invests in change-makers and solutions for pollution that go beyond just the bottle. Now that's a company I can get behind! If you're interested, you can read more about the foundation and how you can help here.

As for the bottle itself, it comes in six colors and is available via Dopper.com for $15.00. It is made with durable materials, is 100% recyclable, and BPA free. The bottles also separate into three parts for easy cleaning and are dishwasher safe up to 149°F (65°C). Always remember to properly clean and dry your Dopper bottle after use, and leave it without the cap on in your cupboard. Additionally, you can follow these tips for a pristine and happy Dopper.

One of my favorite things to do is make infused water for my Dopper. This is one of my favorites. It contains strawberries, lemon, mint, and honey for a refreshing drink that will keep you hydrated and energized.

Ingredients (serves 2-4)

  • 2 cups filtered water
  • Juice of 2 small lemons
  • 8 medium strawberries, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped mint
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

1. Mix all ingredients together in a pitcher, large jar, or a water bottle.

2. Stir together and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. The longer you let the water sit, the more infused it will become.

3. Serve in a Dopper!
