These donuts are not really traditional, since they’re baked not fried, but they will still hit the spot! They’re easy to make and filled with wholesome ingredients, and the flavors are so fresh and gourmet-tasting! The dried rose petals and lavender for garnish are optional, but they sure make these donuts look extra pretty.

Ingredients (makes 4 doughnuts)

Donuts

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon grapefruit juice

  • 1/2 tablespoon grapefruit zest

Frosting🧁

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 tsp grapefruit juice

  • 1/2 tsp honey or maple syrup

1. Preheat oven to 325 F. In a bowl, whisk together eggs. Then add in remaining donut ingredients, and mix together until smooth.

2. Grease your donut pan with coconut oil or cooking spray, and fill the batter about 3/4 way to the top (just leave a little bit of room to rise). Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool, and then remove.

3. To make frosting, mix ingredients together until combined. Spread on donuts and top with dried lavender/rose petals (I got mine at World Market).
